Hello, hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! The weather has been gorgeous here in Brisbane and Spring has arrived early with warm weather making the weekend just perfect... I'd like to start this week with a project that's very special to me...I was very excited to finally launch these little ceramic hearts at the Udessi market stall at the Boutique Markets, and they are now also available in the online gallery.

Each ceramic heart is lovingly made by hand by me and impressed with a vintage lace doily, or crystal dish whilst wet, leaving the lovely patterns behind. Short yet meaningful messages are imprinted on the reverse of the heart, creating treasured keepsakes to be given to loved ones to let them know they are in your thoughts.
There are currently 6 different inscriptions available; “Love You’, ‘Miss You’, ‘Thinking of You’, ‘Take Care’, ‘Hope’ and ‘With Love’.
50% of each heart sold will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, to help raise money towards research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Cancer touches so, so many lives, it is in terrifying moments like these that you feel most helpless. What to say or give to someone when they get such terrible news, all you want to do is hold them and let them know that you're there for them... even if this might not physically be possible at the time. With this in mind, I created these hearts, to create a more personal and lasting message...
Of course no reason is needed to let the people closest to you know that they are in your thoughts on any given day. So go on ~ surprise your loved ones and let them know how much they mean to you!

I'll forward these details to my friends in Brisbane - no doubt they'll be looking for you at the next market!! Me too :-)
Cheers, Karen

Thanks Thea and Lisa! So great to get your lovely comments :)
They just look gorgeous. I love that you are making donations to the National Breast Cancer Society as well. I know they will be appearing as Christmas gifts for some of my friends and family!
These hearts mean a lot to me! I had the privilege of being the first one to see and receive your hearts at the beginning of this year and they gave so much consolation! What a beautiful gesture to donate 50% to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I hope they will generate heaps of money!
Thanks Renée, your support means a lot :)
